Brand Storyteller

From federal labor law to peer-reviewed research, I distill complex, technical subjects into the narrative arc of a product or service.

  • Megan is a gifted storyteller and editor who knows how to take an idea—whether it's rough notes or a polished draft—and make it clearer, stronger, and more compelling. She's endlessly curious and genuinely collaborative.

    —Jenn Marlow — Former colleague

  • Megan is thoughtful, detail-oriented, and understands how small decisions can create a large impact. We're in a poetry-writing collective together where she's a close and focused reader who provides valuable constructive criticism. Any organization would be fortunate to have her on their team!

    —Liz Richards - Former colleague

  • "Megan is a one-woman newsroom. She came in, understood our brand immediately, and produced content that outperformed anything we'd published before."

Content Strategy

I've spent ten years building content infrastructure — not just producing content, but designing the systems that make it consistent, scalable, and strategically aligned. I work cross-functionally with sales, product, and design to develop editorial frameworks, SEO and AEO architecture, and content plans that connect directly to business goals.

Writing

My writing spans registers: B2B case studies, legal and policy explainers, white papers, impact reports, campaign copy, and narrative journalism. What stays consistent across all of it is the same discipline — understanding the audience, establishing credibility, and matching language precisely to context.

Copy Editing

I'm the often the line of defense between a draft and the world. I own line editing, style guide development, and on-brand messaging across the organization — from product assembly guides to executive LinkedIn posts.

Ghostwriting

Some of my best work doesn't have my name on it. I ghostwrite executive thought leadership for cofounders — pieces that appear under their bylines in Fast Company, Forbes, and Inc. It's the kind of writing that requires capturing a voice precisely, not just the talking points.

About Megan

I'm the kid who wrote stories in her attic bedroom and read late into the night with a flashlight. A lifelong English major, I'm passionate about parallel constructions, the Oxford comma, and the unexpected power of a well-placed word. I believe the best writing surprises us — and I'm a ruthless editor who enjoys killing all the darlings. I have a thing against semicolons and widowed lines. I've been called a one-woman newsroom.
